What to know
Select the slab, not just the sample.
Small samples cannot show the full movement of natural stone. Viewing the actual slabs gives a clearer picture of color, pattern, fissures and the areas that will become the finished countertops.
- Natural variation is expected and should be considered during layout and seam planning.
- Some granites benefit from periodic sealing; absorption varies by stone.
- Clean spills promptly and use products intended for natural stone.
- Discuss overhangs, supports, sink details and edge selections before final template.
